The Osaka University Screensaver
The Osaka University Screensaver is a screensaver designed for Mac OS X 10.5 or later. The screensaver is a free software in terms of GNU General Public License v3. (You can access to the source code.)
The Osaka University Screensaver shows moving logo of Osaka University when it is used as a stand-alone screensaver.
The screensaver can download arbitrary images from Bonjour network and show it as if it is a desktop screen. The bundled software (named Daemon) captures your screen and make it available on Bonjour network (SEE PRIVACY WARNING ON THIS PAGE).
PRIVACY WARNING
The Daemon, shipped with the screensaver named Angel, CAPTURES YOUR MAIN SCREEN every 30 seconds and make the screenshot available on LAN (Bonjour network).
If you want to keep your privacy, do not start Daemon or stop it by clicking "Stop" button.
The screensaver is also designed as an example of usage of Core Animation and Bonjour (formally called Rendezbous) networking. The "INSIDE STORY" section is to give you a brief look of these ideas.
